Last Friday the cost of a barrel of oil went up over $138 - a $10 increase in one day. If you haven't seen $4 per gallon gas yet you soon will. What can we do to keep from having to take out a second mortgage on the house to pay for our monthly fuel bill. In my Memorial Day Weekend post I gave some tips to help you with fuel shock but here are some additional thoughts on saving gas:
- Limit your trips - make a game plan for your day so that you can get more done in one trip then having to make multiple trips.
- Ask your employer to consider a 4 day work week - staying home one day a week might give you the needed break in your fuel costs.
- If you can't get that one day off during the work week try taking one of the weekend days off - don't move your cars on either Saturday or Sunday.
