Guests on Today's Morning Show

We are suspending normal programming today to allow you to hear our hearts and the about the strategic relationship we have formed with Equip.

I've invited a number of friends to join us this morning:
  • John Hull, president of Equip - will join us this morning to share his heart about equipping leaders around the world.
  • Dale Vermillion - many of our listener are unable to give to ministries like WRAF because of debt and Dale will give us tips to get out of debt and to use that new money to further the work of God.
  • Wayne Shepherd - Wayne is the voice of many programs heard on Christian radio throughout the United States. You can hear Wayne on the program Walk in the Word with James McDonald.
  • The Sonflowerz - this sister duo has become a special friend to The Morning Show and they will be performing at this year's AtlantaFest. They have a heart for ministry and missions.
It's a fun-filled, jam-packed morning. Listen live here and call to support this ministry at 1-800-251-8326.

Praise the Lord!!! Antenna Will Be Up Soon!!

I just received this word from Bryan Race, station manager of Toccoa Falls Radio - WRAF:

We just received some very good news regarding the installation of the new WRAF broadcast antenna! The Lord has allowed things to move much more quickly than originally planned!

Marty Lee, our station's Chief Engineer, found out yesterday that the antenna is scheduled to be shipped around Monday (May 4th) and be delivered either by the end of the week or early the week after. That's about 3 weeks ahead of schedule!

Today we found out that the installation crew has agreed to help us out and begin work on the antenna ahead of schedule. As of now, they plan to begin the installation on Thursday, May 14th. Installation will take around 7 days as they tear down the old antenna and put up the new one.

This is wonderful news and couldn't have happened without the Lord's help and YOUR financial donations! Thank you!!

Continue to pray for us as we work out all the details. Pray for wisdom for everyone involved, that the antenna arrive safely on the truck, and for the safety of the installation crew.

And again...thank you!

I also want to say thank you for your prayers and your support. Don't forget, we are in the middle of Care-a-thon and still need your support for our operational budget. Check out WRAF's website for more information

Bobby Michaels

It breaks my heart to hear of the loss of Bobby Michaels - a favorite artist here at WRAF and a wonderful person. I had the opportunity to meet Bobby a number of times over the years and also be a part of his ministry, Musicianaires. Here's a message from Bobby's family from his web site:

Message from Lee and Rachel...

Our hearts are aching as we tell you that Bobby passed away this evening shortly after going into the operating room. Before the surgeons started the operation, Bobby's heart stopped with an instant "flat-line". The medical team tried for 45 minutes to resuscitate him but his heart did not respond.

We are deeply saddened by our loss...but rejoice that Bobby did get totally healed...with a new heart, kidneys, and any other part that might have needed fixing. The Lord knew the plans He had for Bobby...and today was his graduation day as he went to the One he loved the most and served so faithfully. We know he was carried away in the arms of Jesus.

Words cannot express our thanks for all the love, prayers, and notes of encouragement that have come to us by everyone who have been touched by Bobby's life. Our prayer for all of you is that you will experience the same peace and comfort that we have received from the Father.

We will let you know of memorial plans once these details have made. Thank you again for all of the love and prayers for our family.

We love you all deeply!
Lee, Rachel, and Jeff

Official Cookie of the Morning Show

This morning I announced an official cookie for the Morning Show (well, at least for today anyway). A couple of graduates from Toccoa Falls College have set up a website to sell homemade oatmeal cookies to help raise funds to adopt a little boy from Albania.

Also, the Santos have a blog that gives the continuing story of their journey, and I urge you to take a look at the Good Eats site and order some cookies to help bring this little boy to the states. Remember, these are the official cookies of the Morning Show.
