Doyle Dykes and The Lights of Marfa

Doyle Dykes has been playing the guitar for over 45 years and has shared the stage with music legends like: Vince Gill, Chet Atkins, Emmy Lou Harris, Brad Praisley and many others.  Endorsed by Taylor Guitars, Dykes has played to audiences around the globe including regular appearances at the Grand Ole Opry.

Now this legendary guitar player offers readers a collection of stories about music, guitars, travels and the miracles of life and faith in his first book, The Lights of Marfa: One of the World's Great Guitar player's Amazing Encounters with God.

Dykes uses the images of Marfa, Texas, a lonely West Texas outpost renowned for mysterious and inexplicable lights which are often ignored by locals buy of interest to faraway visitors, as a metaphor for the mysterious works of the divine.
