The Barna Group - Most Americans Consider Easter a Religious Holiday, But Fewer Correctly Identify its Meaning

Easter is just around the corner and every year I struggle with the thought that my kids may not know exactly what Easter is about and why it's so important to believers in Christ. So one day I just asked them and they surprised me by giving the best answer ever - the resurrection and Jesus and the gift of salvation!! WOW!

I stumbled upon some research from the Barna Group that confirmed some of my worries that many don't know the meaning behind Easter. Click on the link below and read what they found.

The Barna Group - Barna Studies the Research, Offers a Year-in-Review Perspective

The Barna Group has released it's year in review report and the findings show 3 themes:
  1. Americans are more interested in faith and spirituality than Christianity.
  2. American faith is now individual and customized.
  3. Biblical literacy is not a priority in America.
For more a detailed look at these themes please click the link below.

The Barna Group - Jesus

It's hard to not hear about health care, especially since the President has made the rounds on the Sunday morning talk shows (except for Fox News Sunday) and he will be on Letterman tonight. Health care is a huge topic but not a new one. The Gospel of Luke was written by a physician.

The Barna Group has recently published a piece on Jesus' health care plan that I found to be quite interesting and worth the read. Click below and then let me know your thoughts.
