Dale Vermillion on The Morning Show

Dale Vermillion joined me on the show this morning to talk about the latest in mortgage and finance news.
  1. Rates hold Steady Still – BankRate.com shows average 30 year rate down to 5.21a5 from 5.27% last week and 15 year fixed 4.68% vs. 4.72%

  2. Dodd Leans Toward One Agency for All Banks American Banker (09/01/09) Senate Banking Committee Chairman Chris Dodd, D-Conn., is working on a draft bill to reform the financial regulatory system in the hopes of getting it passed before year's end. The bill likely will create a single bank supervisory agency, taking such authority away from the Federal Reserve and the FDIC; establish an interagency council to oversee systemic risk; and create a consumer protection agency.

He also shared some encouraging Scripture when dealing with your finances:

  • Proverbs 3:18
Wisdom is a tree of life to those who embrace her; happy are those who hold her tightly.

  • Matthew 6:34
So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.
