1. Mortgage Rates Lowest Since Late May (08/21/09) Ephesians 5:15 – be careful then how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise. Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days!Mortgage rates for 30-year fixed loans fell this week to 5.12 percent, the lowest rate since the average hit 4.91 percent. 15-year fixed-rate loans fell to 4.56 percent from 4.68 percent last week; five-year, adjustable-rate mortgages fell to 4.57 percent from 4.75 percent; and one-year ARMs declined to 4.69 percent from 4.72 percent.
