Five steps to forgiveness, plus one
- Forgive the other person for any harm they may have done to you.
- Forgive yourself for any harm you may have done to yourself or someone else.
- Give the other person permission to forgive you for any harm you have have caused them.
- Accept the other person as they are.
- Wish them well.
- Find the good in what you had previously thought of as a bad situation.
