Happy St. Patrick's Day

Having Irish ancestry, St. Patrick's Day is more than just an excuse to wear green (although I do wear emearld green alot). It's a chance to look at one of Christianity's more famous saints. Here's some of the interesting facts of St. Patrick's life:

  • Was born of a wealthy Christian family in Britain in the 4th century A.D.

  • Was kidnapped at the age of 16 and sold into salvery.

  • After 6 years in slavery he escaped and returned home.

  • Once entering the church he became a bishop and returned to Ireland as a missionary.

  • He ministered throughout Ireland and started a revival that lasted nearly 400 years.

There is so much to learn from the life of Saint Patrick and his mission to share the love of Christ to the "Emerald Isle." To learn more click here.
